I have tried to give up smoking for over l0 years! I have tried every NRT product going, along with Acupuncture and hypnosis. Result – FAILURE every time! I gave up smoking using an e-cigarette in October 2009 and have stayed stopped! Giving me the freedom from smoking normal cigarettes, myself and my children no longer have to endure the harmful smoke, the smell and everything else that is associated with smoking normal cigarettes.
Having finally found electronic cigarettes with the thanks to SmokeTastic.com’s e cigarette reviews, that works form me can you imagine my horror to find the MHRA are looking to ban the product. I must admit I went into panic mode when I initially read the story but have calmed down a little now. I know the MHRA had things to say about e-cigarettes in the past some good, some not so good, but I would like the MHRA to understand that if the proposed ban goes ahead thousands of people like myself will fall back to the traditional cigarette. Not out of choice or the lack of willing it will just happen. There is then the knock on effects to the children of people like myself who often follow their parents lead in life, not to mention costs to the NHS for smokers and those who suffer from second hand smoke.
What I would like MHRA and the FDA to do is get behind the electronic cigarette campaign and back it as a valid method for people to stop smoking tobacco. I except that I am still smoking in some way, but hey, it can’t and isn’t as bad as tobacco. MHRA’s support of other products such as gum and patches as theses have had clinical test proving their validity. What I would like to see do is back a campaign for similar tests to be conduct for electronic cigarettes.
The video above shows an example of the V2 Cigs electronic cigarette brand under review on YouTube.
Effectively any support the MHRA or the FDA can give will be a major help to our cause. I am well aware there are risks and that some form of regulation of these products is needed.
Indeed having tried and tested several products I have opted for a more expensive package due to build quality, also I only use liquid that has ingredients sourced and produced in the EU or the US. Although more expensive, I can see what goes into the product unlike many produce in the Far East. Some companies such as Intellicig have had their own tests done and make the results available to purchasers.
Before you become suspicious, I am not involved with any company that makes promotes or sells any form of electronic cigarette product, I am simply someone who is trying hard to do the right thing for the right reasons and would like others like myself to be able to do this also.
It would be a crime if electronic cigarettes were banned and people were robbed of an opportunity to easily stop inhaling burning tobacco. I am certain I would drift back to using tobacco if e-cigarettes were banned. Also it makes absolutely no sense to ban these products when tobacco, which is a known killer, is left freely available. Could it be something to do with the enormous amount of revenue the government raises on tobacco? Have your say on the best electronic cigarette via facebook.
I think it is disgusting MHRA and the FDA wants to ban them. I have used one since my wife was diagnosed with COPD and find it a brilliant and harmless alternative to tobacco. At last after 45 years of smoking (and enjoying it) I thought I had finally found a product that would aid my total abstemiousness. I find electronic cigarettes more useful than any other recommended NRT device; my likeminded friends find this to be yet another iniquitous example of the government’s baleful and woeful treatment of the general public.
